Made from Oil Absorbent Materials for Reliable Oil Spill Control

The Large Plant Nappy is made from materials that can facilitate the absorption of oil and fuel whilst also releasing excess water. The base of the plant nappy is made from an oil non-permeable fabric meaning oil is contained in the plant nappy. A permeable top layer allows for the oil to soak into the plant nappy, effectively trapping the oil between these layers. The side walls, however, are made from a different material that allows for water to pass through and out from the plant nappy as it is filtered from any oil or contaminants. This protects the environment from any oil spills and reduces the need to constantly empty drip trays.

Large Plant Nappy FAQs

How much can a plant nappy hold?

As the largest plant nappy in our range, the Large Plant Nappy can hold up to 36 litres of fluid with an added liner. Without a liner, the Large Plant Nappy can hold 18 litres of liquid. We have other plant nappies available that have various capacities. Our Small Plant Nappy can hold approximately 2-4 litres of liquid, and our Medium Plant Nappy has a capacity of 4.5-9 litres.

Why use plant nappies?

Plant Nappies are more effective than traditional drip trays. With its oil absorbent material, a plant nappy is able to absorb up to 36 litres of liquid with a nappy liner whilst filtering out water. This reduces the need to frequently empty water from oil spill control systems and minimises the cost of disposing of the collected liquid.

When must plant nappies be used?

A plant nappy is an ideal spill control solution for oil spills, fuel leaks and drips of hazardous liquids. You can place them under plant and machinery, providing you with effective oil spill control without the need for frequent emptying and costly disposal methods. You can also use plant nappies both inside and outside as the plant nappy can filter out water from contaminants, causing no harm to the environment.
